The security forces in Rawalpindi conducted a meticulously planned intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan, resulting in the successful elimination of eight terrorists, including a notorious commander. Identified as Sehra, also known by the alias Janan, the commander met his demise amidst a fierce firefight alongside his militant associates.

This significant operation came in response to Sehra's pivotal role in orchestrating a recent terrorist attack on a security forces' post in Mir Ali on March 16. His elimination marks a crucial victory for law enforcement agencies, as he was a high-priority target due to his involvement in numerous acts of terrorism.

Following the conclusion of the operation, security forces swiftly launched a thorough sanitization effort in the surrounding areas, ensuring the eradication of any potential terrorist threats lurking in the vicinity.

This latest success underscores the unwavering commitment of Pakistan's security forces to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reaffirmed this dedication in a statement, emphasizing the resolve to maintain peace and security for the nation's citizens.

This operation comes in the wake of a similar offensive in North Waziristan just days prior, where six terrorists were neutralized in Mir Ali. However, this victory was not without sacrifice, as a lieutenant colonel and a captain, along with five other soldiers, laid down their lives defending against the terrorist onslaught.

According to the ISPR, the troops demonstrated exceptional courage in thwarting the initial intrusion attempt into the army installation during the early hours of the day. Despite their efforts, a group of six terrorists managed to breach the defenses, launching a brazen attack by detonating an explosives-laden vehicle and subsequently carrying out multiple suicide bombings.

آئی ایس پی آر کے مطابق، فوجی اسٹیشن میں داخلہ کی ابتدائی کوشش کو ناکام بنانے میں فوجیوں نے شجاعت کی نمائندگی کی۔ مگر ان کی کوششوں کے باوجود، چھ دہشت گردوں نے دفاعی دیواروں کو بریچ کر لیا، ایک مخفی مواد سے بھرے گاڑی کو دھماکے کے ذریعے حملہ آور بنایا اور بعد میں متعدد خودکش حملے کرنے کی کوشش کی۔
