In an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the Dera Ismail Khan district, at least four terrorists were neutralized, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

The operation witnessed an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the elimination of the terrorists. Identified as Mustafa, Qismatullah, and Islam ud Din, these individuals were known to be actively involved in various terrorist activities targeting both security forces and innocent civilians. Additionally, weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the terrorists, further thwarting potential threats to public safety.

The success of the operation was met with appreciation from the local populace, who lauded the efforts of the security forces in maintaining peace and security in the region.

Following the operation, ongoing sanitization efforts have been initiated in the area to ensure the complete eradication of any remaining terrorist elements, thereby enhancing the overall security landscape.

Earlier today, in a separate incident, a soldier of Frontier Corps Balochistan made the ultimate sacrifice while defending a naval base in Turbat. The security forces successfully repelled an attack, resulting in the elimination of four terrorists.

Furthermore, on March 24, the Pakistan Army demonstrated its swift response capabilities by neutralizing eight terrorists during an attempted attack on the Gwadar Port Authority Colony. Tragically, two soldiers lost their lives in the line of duty during this operation.
